Does DDC & Adaptive Drive compensate for tire/wheel size?

Does DDC & Adaptive Drive compensate for tire/wheel size? For example, given 19" wheels versus 17" or 18" wheels, where the ride on 19s would typically be harsher, does the 'Comfort' mode compensate and further dampen the suspension? In other words, does 'Comfort' mode on 19s feel like 'Comfort' mode on smaller wheels/tires? Thanks in advance!

I had 19" stock rims with run-flats and I switched to 20" rims with non run-flats, and the ride is smoother in all modes. Typically if you switch from say 17s to 19s, there's less rubber on the road, so it's going to ride a little stiffer.

Hummmm, less rubber on the road does not make sense to me. Same is more logical. My understanding is that the '35' reference on a 285/35R19 tire is the ratio of tire height to width. Sooooooo, seems to me that this is the measure you'd like to maximize for ride comfort, no?

When you go from a 17" to a 19" for instance, you have to go to a lower profile tire --- more wheel, less distance from the wheel to the ground. The less rubber you have from the bottom of the wheel to the ground equals less cushion on the entire wheel and tire, but better handling.

Better handle on 19 and 20 but much less comfort, if it's all about road handling the larger wheel lower profile tire are the way to go, I wanted more air so I stuck with the 18's (roads in NYC r horrible, cracked my sport wheels on my e46 sooooo many times I was like a NASCAR wheel/tire changer)

Thanks. I realize ride will always be harsher by default with the larger wheels, and that's a trade-off for better handing, but I'm wondering if the Dynamic Dampening Control helps further (ie, more dampening in cars fitted with the 19s vs the 18s). Thanks.

I didn't notice a difference when I went from 19 to 20 with adaptive drive --- maybe if you went from 17s to 20s you might notice a difference. I just noticed it being smoother in all modes w/out the runflats.
