I don't get the attraction to white cars - It's only my opinion obviously, but they are so bright, hard to keep clean and after a short while of being popular, far too common. When I chose the colour, I immediately crossed white and black of the list. Just my 2p worth.

I have a MW 750li.....it's a nice color but not worth $5,300. Quite honestly.....there a ton more MW 7's around than AW. It seems AW is the more popular color. The MW is a pearl-type paint....but not anywhere as pearl as the Lexus or Cadillac pearl (the BMW is much whiter).
I think the mineral looks whiter than AW, actually, when it's clean and in the sun.....when dirty, it definitely doesn't look as white. I've never owned anything but a black car before this but they show too many swirls and they are way too hard to keep clean. I have black wheels on my 750 and I think it's the best color combo there is along with a black car with black wheels (done right). Here's a pic....hard to see because it was early evening and cloudy (and pics taken from Blackberry). |

Plus, seeing as the primer is almost the same colour, the stone chips don't show unless you look closely - a significant consideration on our grit strewn and pot-holed Scottish roads.

And this, of course, has me agonizing on whether to get a clear bra on a white car... |
