Do no wheels fit our car??!
So, I bought a 20" winter wheel/tire set from Discount Tire. They were Voxx wheels. The barrel was rubbing on the back of the caliper when they did a test fitment. So, they ordered another wheel that could potentially fit... The spoke was touching the caliper. Called TireRack and they said if that Voxx wheel didn't fit, they cannot guarantee any of the other sub-$300 wheels would fit...
What???! Are our front brakes THAT massive?? I just find it hard to believe.. So Discount Tire is refunding my wheels/TPMS/installation and they gave me a good rate on swapping tires every season for me on the OEM wheels. just sucks because I live in northern Ohio.. I feel like winter is gonna beat the crap out of them. And.. they're gonna be stretching 255s to fit the rear OEM wheel. And note... I don't have the carbon ceramics. |

Hey you're in Ohio too whereabouts? Anyways, you can't just have a tire place just slap on some wheels. You gotta know the correct offsets to use or else yes, you will have improper fitments like hitting the calipers and what not. Also, those 20's are the wrong size wheels for winter setups. You gotta go 18-19's

18s do not fit M5s. 19s are significantly more expensive for some apparent reason. So 20s is the direction a lot of folks go for winter around here it seems. Not just a random tire place. We looked it up through the site which claims these fit. And also called Tirerack since they have the same wheels and they even said they couldn't guarantee fitment. Spoke with **********s yesterday and they said they have 1 wheel they can guarantee fitment but it was $500/pop which really isn't worth it for winter. |
