Pictures 2012 F10 528xi Imperial Blue
Just took delivery, I couldn't be happier
Time to do 20% tints and order 20" wheels. Just placed the order on Bridgestone Potenza R0760 245/35/2 and 285/30/20 for rears. I'm just trying to narrow it down between 2 wheels. My cousin does custom fab work and wheel make me custom headers, X Y pipes and full exhaust. As soon as I find a decent software for it, that will be the next thing. I'm also going to order the M5 bumper, not sure if I want to do the side skirts and read yet but it would make sense to do them the same time especially if I go dual exhaust. This will take care of the bumper reflectors so all I need is the side markers in black and black grill. This forum has been great and a lot of helpful people. Thank you for all the replies on picking this car. It needs a wash I'm leaving for Europe tomorrow so I will not drive it for the next 2 weeks Now the question is do I go Silver, Gunmetal or Black 20" wheels. I'm not sure which was I want to go. I wasn't able to find another imperial F10 with black wheels so I'm leaving towards the silver. Give me your opinions please. Thank you Last edited by EkoBmw; 07-06-2012 at 06:37 PM.. |

I have Black 20 inch BBS on my carbon black F11. I see now that the black wheels and the dark blue paint doesent match so good. So go for silver is my advice.

black rims are hard to do well...they need to be stellar quality like BBS or better type of deal.
And they look good only on black or white cars (on black cars, they need a chrome lip/ring) Go silver or graphite grey, grey is sportier, silver is classier. The fact that you still have the chrome trim shouldn't make too big a difference, don't let it bother you. |

Congrats!
I have black BBS wheels on my F10, but is Alpine White....I'll post a pic a little later... On yours, which is a darker shade of blue, I would go gun metal if you want something darker than silver... just my $0.02

Yea I think I'm going with the silver. Out of the 2 wheels, which ones would you pick? What other wheels would look good? I'm not a huge fan of Bb's with lines going all over. I like the more settle look as its not a sports car, it's more luxury then anything with a little sport feel at heart...lol trying to keep the budged down on the wheels...thanks

Of the 2, I like the one on the right mainly because it doesnt have what believe to be fake bolts that try to make it look like a multi-piece wheel when it isnt...
oh..and here is a pic of the black BBS CH-Rs on my car
