How should I go about my 535i, should I stop?

Sup guys, I got a f10 535 2011 and not gonna lie, I'm trying to give myself an excuse to not go all out on my car mod wise and tuning. I'm being real with myself that it's hard to afford everything I envisioned. With the way my financial state is looking hence I'm a 19 vear old student in college full time so you could imagine, I'm not sure what to do, although repairs can be expensive, I tend to work on the car myself and I've saved a ton of money labor wise, I think the hardest job I did was probably the valve cover. Anyways I need advice, should I keep going or is my car too ricey. And I should just take off the spoiler? I like my mirror caps but idk if the spoiler is doing too much, the car is lowered and got yellow calipers too. I also got a straight pipe exhaust. I'd say l've done a good job as an owner maintenance wise, I'll drop pictures of it and all the stuff l've done as an owner since 99k miles (112,000 now)
Please be as brutally honest as you want to be as it'll help me decide how I wanna go about this. Thanks

You do you, man... doesn't matter what anyone thinks if you like it. And what you like now will probably change in 10 years at 29. But IMO and in that only, the caps detract from the smooth lines of the car. Can't see the spoiler, so IDK. I tend to like the body-colored minimal ones like this: https://www.amazon.com/IKON-MOTORSPO...081V4N4F4?th=1

I also like body-color side reflectors and blinkers, but the black is better than amber.

Maybe add some double slat kidney grills?

I’ve been thinking to get rid of the carbon fiber look and do gloss black so it could match with the shadowline trim. Thanks for the grill link those look sick. Also I was thinking of a smaller spoiler like u sent and a gloss black look as well, I might try to keep the oem sleeper look with slight mods. Could be a win win for me considering I’m tight money wise haha

I suggest Keep the car as is and keep up with the basic maintenance and repairs and enjoy your car! it looks great and does not at all look "Overdone". You don't need to give it all the mods, I suggest wait till you're out of school and then figure you out what you want to do with it then! Surely you will have more money when all is said and done?

Exclamation NEED HELP

My 2016 BMW 535i has recently been starting up funny every morning. I already tried changing the battery already, not sure what else I should do. I changed the spark plugs about a year ago. Now when I start it up in the mornings, the RPMs are dropping to low, it almost seems like it is not gonna start up but it ends up bouncing back up and balancing itself out. I never had this problem before, so I know something is off. The car is at about 90k miles. I dont know why or what to do at this point. Let me know if you guys got any suggestions please and thanks!

Sounds like it could be a fueling issue, these cars are so complex when it comes to this so I’d get it checked out for sure so you don’t damage anything further. Once one thing becomes faulty it can cause collateral damage Becuase every other part is working harder than it should

I thought about it and I am thinking of enjoying it the way it is and just building it cosmetically, I’m upgrading my interior with the M steering wheel from an m5 I found parting out with paddles. I’m also about to put an Apple CarPlay system as well along with some new trim pieces. Modding wise I’m thinking about going stage 1 only, I got a chargepipe already and handled all oil leaks spark plugs and coils so I’m thinking stage 1 will be safe reliability wise. I don’t wanna go crazy with more power Becuase I don’t have money for say my rod bearing spins or etc. basically high repair cost for something yk?

Looks good already! and try the Chevron Complete Fuel System cleaner for your low pressure issues as addressed in your other thread, I'd say its worth a shot since its only around 12$

There is a thread on this entire site that talks about how they are pretty much the same mixture.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=424995

Make sure it is the Complete System cleaner, if you read that thread you will see that the bottle looks identical!

Save your Money, buy the Chevron version, use it as directed, and it should clean something in there I am certain! then you will know eventually if it is a bigger problem! That I hope it is not! as you just installed a brand new part!

Yea I replaced the whole low pressure fuel pump and assembly for it. Everything went good with install, I had no more shadow codes and a instant crank start for 3 weeks. And now I got a long crank again all of a sudden with the same codes from before. I’ll use that stuff and see what happens

Definately worth a shot because as you stated as a student, last thing you need is to put more money in your car, if you don't need too. These cars are a little tricky to diagnose, however, always go back to basics, Clean fuel, clean air, clean and solid ignition. I hope you do see some results out of it.

I just put the some in my tank today when I went to my local Shell, I got a decent Road trip this coming week to the Central Valley and then the Bay and next week to Socal. I will give you feedback if you haven't gotten any, I got mine at Auto zone for around 16$ I bought 2 because I really want to see if there is a noticeable or subtle difference in my cold start ups and idle.

I work at autozone lol, let me know how it is, I’ll possibly consider it this week considering I just did an oil change too.
