Please help I'm new to this

Hello Gentlemen,

Want to install different wheels on my 5 series.

Front: 8.5x20 ET38
Rear: 10x20 ET51

Will these wheels fit my car? And what size tires should I put on?

I'm fairly certain those rears will not fit and would hit the shock. You'd 100% need spacers if you wanted it to work.

Does it hit the shock?

Need a side picture, not a straight on picture.

Might be easier if you tape a piece of string with a weight on the end (plum bob) to the fender. It's hard to tell where everything lies in relation to each other.

Again, is it touching the shock?

Lots of room in the rear wheel arches of the f10, but et51 is a high offset so you might like to put on spacers for a nicer/more aggressive looking fitment.

245/35/20 and 285/30/20 are a common size with those wheels. Spacer size it up to you. I'd install the wheels first and see how it fits. If you feel the wheels sits too tucked, you can measure the distance from the wheel lip to the fender.

I recommend a 15-20mm spacer for the rear. Best to figure it out when you have it measured with the tires mounted.

Tires
Aggressive (may rub a little over hard bumps)
Front 255/35/20
Rear 285/30/20

Safe (no rubbing)
245/35/20
275/30/20
