Question Forward collision warning -- which package?

Hi folks,

Considering 2015 BMW 535i with Driver Assistance Package (not plus). Trying to figure if this level of package has the "forward collision warning" feature. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks.

Run the last 7 of the VIN through www.bmwvin.com

Thank you for the response - last 7 of the VIN is D919815 -- I checked that site, and "forward collision warning" keywords are not appearing. Does that mean it doesn't have it, or is the feature part of some other feature and/or standard in this model year? Would be great to have a VIN that shows this feature in that list so I can see how it looks like..

I have it and it is completely useless. It just gives you a warning right before you crash into something. It doesn't auto brake as you would think. It is part of DA+ package.

Here is a vin that has it : D687454

@TTG thank you for that info; indeed it'd be useless if can't do auto-brake.

For future reference, here's my "DIFF" of your VIN and the VIN of the car I'm considering, w.r.to the Driving Assistance Plus. Seems like yours have following features listed. Judging by the names, I'm assuming "driving assistant" is the one that brings that FCW.
S5AGA Lane-change warning
S5ASA Driving Assistant
S5DLA Surround View
S8THA Road sign detection

In addition, there seems to be an enable/disable FCW button on the lower left side of the dash; indeed on the photos of the car I'm looking at, there is no such button set.

In the owner manual they say that collision warning prepare the brakes and sometimes engage the brakes to a full stop at low speeds. I have it but only a few times I had the warning lit, no braking cause was not the case.

One of my clients has a B7 that I got to put some miles on last month, it has the auto braking collision avoidance feature. Pretty cool. The belts pretension, give you a little hug, the HUD starts flashing, and if you insist on going up someones ass it'll drop anchor appropriately. I can definitely see it saving your bacon if you're the type to text and drive. I found it to be a bit over zealous intervening when I was far far from my comfort zone proximity wise.
