To all the drivers of the above car.

What are your favourite coding options?

I'll be getting my car coded tomorrow (map update as well) and wondered which options people have enabled/disabled in their cars?

So far I have the below list:-

• DVD in Motion
• Change ring tone of the car to match phones
• Enable Digital Speedometer
• Real-time MPG
• Turn off Sat Nav and radio when you switch of the engine
• Sports display when in sport mode

I wanted things like disable speed locks, enable fuel suggestions, splash logo to M sport, enable efficient dynamics, usb video playback to different codecs, m sport in cluster, wind shield wipers complete cycle, european blinking lights but was told they can't be done. Is that right?

Would like suggestions on other options as well please?

if you a HUD enable the indicators.
there is also the entertainment list displayed in the HUD but you will need a certian level of firmware for that to work.(has the firmware been upgraded on your car?)

set ASS to off ( or last memory)

taillights on with drl.

do you have the extended instrument cluster? change the orange strips to be grey instead.

if you google f10 cheat sheet you find a list of the possibilities although obviously some are dependent upon hardware.

I already have turn signals in the hud (when the Sat navigation is on) and songs list, saved radio stations.

By cluster, do you mean pro sat nav? No I don't.

Can I not get the codecs enabled so I can play any file from USB?

when i say turn signals i dont mean satnav directions but turn indicators . left and right arrow that light and flash when you press the indicator stalk.

re codecs I dont know. only know of mp3, wma and wav files that can play. later hardware moght be able to others possibly - not sure.

oh and by cluster i mean 6wb , the extended display where the lcd screen goes across the whole of the bottom of the instrument cluster tathan partially on the 6wa.

This is the cluster I have is the same as in the video https://youtu.be/ziXU7TppeH8? I don't know which one it is.

thats the basic one where the lcd screen only covers part of the bottom on the cluster.
so no you change the orange lines on that as they dont exist.

I think Zyounis has a 2011 model F10.... maybe the reason for limitations.

Should be pretty easy, info is below but of course always triple check anything you see before attempting to do it.

Enable Digital Speedometer On Cluster
KOMBI => 3000 => BC_DIGITAL_V => aktiv

Enable Sports Display
HU_NBT or HU_CIC => 3000 HMI => EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID => aktiv
HU_NBT or HU_CIC => 3000 HMI => EFF_DYN_SPORT_UNIT => aktiv

Does anyone know if the digital speedometer can be enabled on the 6WB cluster? As standard it displays km/h digitally but not mph.

Thanks ALPWhite, I need to make my mind up to code or upgrade the dials to 6WB, I guess with the 6WA dials the digital speedometer display is on the small side limited to the black panel!

Yes it can - same coding option as the regular cluster.

Tried but the digital speed doesn't show up. Cycled through all the bc options.

Thats odd - I can confirm it does on mine. It shows up above the fuel range graph.

Still no joy. The digital mph does not show up through the bc cycle.

I had mine remote coded in the end on my drive... I bought a cable and got the software but decided to sack it all off and get someone to do it via TeamViewer!

I had the following on my F10 LCI (with full black display):

Stop start last setting | Rear DRL enabled | M animation idrive boot up screen | Digital speedo | Siri eyes enabled | Enhanced bluetooth | additional nav options enabled | dvd in motion | video via usb | xvid vcd ogg mp4 codec enabled | idrive speedlocks removed | all gearbox and software updates

I wanted a few other bits like door LEDS on reverse, fogs on full beam and fogs on steering but these can only be coded if you have adaptive lighting and folding mirrors.

The best option BY FAR is remembering the lat setting on the stop/start!

Have you cycled through the displays to see if it's been tagged on somewhere?
