pffft, spanish is just funky French Hardly a departure for you with your French linguistic abilities.

Is English or French your primary language? I assume French as you're in Quebec. But, you never know.

I can speak some Spanish, I think.

Es o si que es?

(I think that means "socks.")

French, but my girlfriend is from Sudbury, Ontario; So I had to learn a word or two in English to get her on board.

But if you ask the question, I guess my english is getting better.

I actually had a lot of problems learning spanish. In fact I still do. I can follow a discussion, but dont ask me to explain how something works in spanish.

Well, judging by your English on here, you're very convincing as bi-lingual fluently.

I suspect if you spoke to a spanish person, they would know what you're talking about but have similar problems replying to you in French.

I've heard that with some slavic friends of mine.

They would talk to each other in their own language, but would be able to carry on the same conversation with each other because they know what each really meant.

Was very confusing to people trying to listen in who weren't fluent in either language

Technical PS CS3 question guys...

Topic: Pen tool
Need: To get the (pen tool) selection once made, "active" in order to cut, copy or whatever.

Here's how I do it but I'm wondering if there's a more efficient way of doing the following:

Ok.. so in order to make the selected path active and be able to "cut" or "copy" it from the selection what I did was left click the vector mask thumbnail on the layer then go to edit and hit "clear". This takes away the layer altogether but frees up the selection to do whatever you want (ie cut, copy etc.)

Is there a better way to do that? I hope the question made sense.

Rokinon 85mm f1.4 with Kenko Pro 300 2x TC. Handheld and manual focused. Maybe 150 yds away. Can't wait to try this TC with my 24-105mm.

Looks pretty sharp Mark. Not all lenses will accept your TC.

Since your 24-105mm is native f/4, the 2x TC will cut you down to f/8 and you won't get AF. Still, it could be useful for certain scenes.

I was just going to ask if the 7D will AF at f8. I was thinking it might not. I really got this in anticipation of getting a 135mm F2L. That will give me some AF wiggle room at least.

only the 1D-series autofocuses at f/8. As of right now, the 1D X does not, but we'll see once it ships.

Unless you start taping the contacts. I'm not sure which lenses you can but it is a cheat.

Works pretty well with the 24-105mm f4. AF doesn't work, of course, but it's much easier to MF on the 7D than it is with the T1i. I was surprised how much. I had planned on only using my Roki lenses with the T1i, but I may try them out on the 7D after all. This isn't critically sharp because I was shooting at 1/25 instead of the 1/FL of 1/300. The IS is good, but that's stretching it.
