I don't really care much about the active seats, but the gentleman function I'd really like to have especially now with my wife being pregnant.
You do not need it, no. The massage button just won't do anything. However, if having a "dead" button bothers you, here's the part number:

It’s a common 4 pin connector that BMW uses 61138377238

I got my ventilated comfort seats installed today. They are working fine and I am getting ready to do the coding.

My question is the how to video doesn’t discuss how to activate the gentleman’s function using protool.

Would someone be so kind as to walk me through it?

Many thanks in advance!

Select seat module -> 3000 SM_GLOBAL -> GENTELMAN -> aktiv

Do that for both driver and passenger seat module.

I need help, I've done the swap from regular sport seats with heat to comfort seats. All seat adjustment buttons work but I have an annoying driver & passenger airbag light on that I can't figure out.

Just coding if you already have comfort seats.

You will need ESYS. You will have to update the module to the latest istep and error message will go away. Basically the modules are not matching istep level with the rest of your vehicle.

I know people who can do this for you if you can't. Just PM me.

Hi,
I found seats pre LCI with driver and passenger heating, full electric and with driver and passenger lumbar support:
S456
Comfort Seat With Memory
S488
Lumbar Support, Driver And Passenger
S494
Seat Heating Driver/Passenger

My 2011 F10 (pre LCI) has semi electric base seats. I already know I need to find the buttons for the door cards but I don't know which leyout. What other hardware do I need to complete the retrofit?

Just want to revive this post as I am trying to do this in my 2011 528i, Mine came with heated memory seats. They bolt in and I plugged in my original module but they don't work. Did coding in bimmercode but seats won't move with button. However if I press the memory button or move them manually in bimmer code they work. Any idea whats wrong. I am getting a communication error.
