Forgive me for asking what may seem like a stupid question but I have never changed any of my previous ride's coilovers or springs before.
If I were to change to the KW V3 coilovers, do I still need to change the springs? From what I read the coilovers can also be adjusted to drop the car. |

I got a quote of US$2800 from a local supplier inclusive of installation and wheel alignment for the F10. Is that OK? Last edited by jamier9; 03-12-2011 at 10:35 AM.. |

That's about right. I'm sure you can find it for less. Install should be around $300.

If the difference is going to be $100-$200 then I'll probably use the local supplier to save me all the hassle. I just got my F10 a few days ago and already I think I definitely need a stiffer and lower ride, while the stock springs are comfy the car feels a little too bouncy most of the times like you are riding a gentle wave sometimes. Maybe I've gotten used to my previous Saab 9-3's stiffer stock setup. Last edited by jamier9; 03-12-2011 at 10:36 AM.. |

I had my H&Rs swapped out for the RD sport springs for my adaptive drive 550i M-sport and WOW what a difference.
Apparently the H&Rs weren't made for the F10 with adaptive drive. I don't feel any bounce with the RDs, and it lifted the front about a half inch over the H&Rs which was exactly what I wanted. These springs were made exactly for the f10 with adaptive drive. The drop is still lower on the 550i than the 535., though, but higher than the H&Rs. |
