I am aware of that....in absence of ambient lighting, are there any other packages(i.e. M-Sport) that the come with?...is it possible to purchase them or exchange/buy door handles with these strips if your car did not originally come with them?
Thanks |

In fact, as the Schnitzer springs are shorter/stiffer than the regular BMW springs, I am quite sure that adaptive drive with regular springs would be to soft for my taste. Even with the ACS springs and 19", the car is much more comfortable than my e92s on M-suspension (and 17").

How is the engine in that 535D?
How fast is it? Can you post a video?
Im about to order, and im in serious doubt about the F11 530D or the F11 535D. Can anyone comment on that? |

Your description pretty much defines exactly what I want from my 535d and I'm 99% decided on 20" BMW 281 style rims (with non run-flats) and a Schnitzer lowering kit, but the ACS UK website is somewhat confusing in that they quote the 4 spring kit P/N 3130210780 is for the 535d Sedan without leveling system??? As this is not a listed option, I can only imagine they're referring to Adaptive Drive+Variable Damper Control, but you have this on your car and you've had it lowered - confusing to say the least, but I've emailed Schnitzer for clarification. Interesting to hear that your springs were fitted by the BMW dealer; I asked my Aberdeen dealer if they could do the work, but was told that BMW UK no longer authorise the fitting of ACS parts! Your car looks terrific, but how has the black fared with the winter? Having driven about 1,500 miles up here in Scotland since late November, I'm very glad I went for boring white. I have several really nasty stone chips, but as the primer's the same colour you have to look quite close to see them, or perhaps I need new glasses! |

Hi Jon,
The 281 20" will look fantastic on your car, excellent choice. The Schnitzer info on the spring set is indeed confusing. What they are trying to say is, there is a difference between the F10 and F11. Previously, I posted this clarification: The ACS lowering springset consists of: - Only front springs for the f11 (2 springs) - Front & rear springs for the f10 (4 springs) The F10 and F11 happen to have diferent rear axles, that's why. If you still do not believe it, check the ACS site: http://preisliste.ac-schnitzer.de/ac...=5er-F10%2FF11 Here is the relevant info from Schnitzer: Fahrwerk-Federnsatz für 535d Limousine ohne Niveauregulierung (= WITHOUT Leveling system) bestehend aus: 3133210310 Feder Vorderachse x 2 3353210410 Feder Hinterachse x 2 für 525d, 530d,535d, 535i Touring mit Niveauregulierung (= WITH leveling system) bestehend aus: 3133210310 Feder Vorderachse x 2 Bottomline: the springset for the F10 consists of 4 springs, the set for the F11 consists of 2 (front only). And it is compatible with adaptive drive.

Very beautiful car Edwin, congrats. How much km's have you done so far and what's the average fuel consumption for you?
I have a somewhat similar car on order in regards to the color combination, I didn't opt for ventilated seats though as I am not particularly fond of the perforation in the leather itself. Do the backseat passengers enjoy the entertainment? Regards, 535dM |

All I can say is that the car feels like a BMW should, albeit a big, heavy car. In adaptive drive and sportauto "sport" mode the steering and feedback comes very close to my e92s.

Not so bad considering the many miles I travel in urban area's. Yeah, the passengers (baby and mum) do love the entertainment set. Obviously I realize there are cheaper solutions (like iPads), but I think it looks fantastic. And integration with TV in motion is really great. Congrats on your order!

You car is the sh*t. It looks awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with the Schnitzer lowering set. It looks awesome and it sounds like it would address the slight issues I had with my test drive of the F10. Coming from a E46 coupe with sport suspension, it felt a bit disconnected even with the adaptive drive and IAS. That car was on 18" so i hope the ACS and 19" will make it more the way a BMW should be |

According to Schnitzer, the drop is an "additional 15-20 mm" (compared to the M sport suspension).
