N63 Compressor Wheel Cracks?

I am hoping these are just superficial cracks in some sort of thermal/low-friction coating?

Both turbos show this - Bank 1 is worse, both pictures are of Bank 1.

I haven't cracked open many turbos, but that finish wear on the shaft seems a bit out of place?

RE the cracks. I doubt it's structural...it would have blown apart from the RPM. Looks like Alpina snails time!
