It's 100-180km/h, guys. Here, the car would automatically get impounded for 7 days, your license suspended for a week, and a minimum $2,000 fine.

It's always hard to compare using auto if you are not measuring from 0.
Here's the official figures for German specs manual transmission:

0-100km/h
528i - 6.6s
535i - 6.0s

80-120km/h in 4/5th gear:
528i - 7.0s
535i - 5.9s

The difference is not insignificant. So I would say for non-Autobahn drivers (95+% of users here, I suppose) and normal daily driving, 535i should be noticeably faster than 528i.

Here are nice 2 videos showing acceleration for 528i and 535i. Both videos were taken at night accelerating from 0 to 220 km/h:

Having used my stopwatch and watching the videos I recorded the following approximate data:

528i -> 0-100 km/h = 6.6 sec, 0-220 km/h = 31.5 sec
535i -> 0-100 km/h = 6.0 sec, 0-220 km/h = 29.8 sec

Now, is 535i worth extra money and greater fuel consumption? Plus, there were at least 2 persons in 528i. Also, am I the only one thinking that 528i sounds better than 535i?

Let me give you another reason. The single left and right tailpipes on the 535i look way better than the left side twin tailpipes.

With M-Sport rear bumper it looks ok. Not sure about left and right tailpipes on the 535i, each tailpipe is too narrow (small) for my taste. 550i has gorgeous tailpipes.

Well, I was pretty sure that the 528i was all I need.
Now I'm absolutely sure.

Garage List
I am probably getting a 530XD instead of a 528i. The diesel has a wonderful sound and does 0-100kmh in just 6.3 seconds and drinks 0.56L/10km.

A diesel with a wonderful sound? That's a new one.
Last week there was an X5 diesel being driven out of the showroom at my dealer. Same old rakarakakaka...

No thanks.

The reason the 528 is no fun is that it doesn't come with a six speed.
535 + 6spd = fun
I better throw this next thing in otherwise I'm likely to catch hell from the 550 people

550 + 6spd = loads of fun!
