Well, you can always hit the brake yourself of course.
But "so far" means for 6 months / 20.000 kms.

Talk about relaxing in an uncomfortable situation! Tip my hat to you.

In my experience the anti collision functionality has been faultless so far.
In your situation it may be good, but personally I like to feel in control of my car and not rely on technology to drive the car.

Adaptive drive is a waste of money IMO, m Sport suspension is great on this car, why spend more money for no real every day difference.
Adaptive cruise would IMO only be good for those who are in dense traffic Daly.

It takes most driver inputs away!!!, may as well go all "Tech" and let it drive it's self sit back and read a book.

Ah, us US spec folks dont get the Msport suspension with Msport option. So AD is VITAL. I am also installing the ACS suspension this week to assist in that.

active cruise was actually high on my wish list as it takes away a stress factor in stop and go traffic.
adaptive drive is not required per se i agree, but it was a nice to have.

picked it up today. the guy at the delivery center was really helpfull, great service. at the eurotunnel i got pulled over for a routine customs check. the guys were in love with it and were more checking out the car then looking for illegal substances
drove 700k with it so far. it still feels unreal. it's such a good car. i was sad to let go of my trusty E46 but this definitly makes me feel less bad about that loss.
it is such a joy to drive.

see below. looking at the photos its the first time is see a few imperfections so in reality its not very noticeable. very well done overall. it's not nappa laether. its slightly harder to the touch, which probably means its a bit more dureable.

on thursday i'm getting the ACS springs. currently it looks like a jeep. way too much ground clearance

Hello,

congrats to your car, I had my 535d F11 (same colour as u) for 1 week only than sold to my good friend because I missed leater, night vision, adaptive cruise etc. and now Im 4weeks thinking how to create my dream 535d (I ordered spot for July production, reason why you have your car so early is that someone else canceled his 535 for May build,I was hoping till last friday for free slot for June production but was not free so must wait) Good/bad thing is I can continue choosing what I want to put into car nearle 1week before production date)
My previous with with M paket with alcantara not leather which I feel will be better with active ventilation... My problem is what kind of leather... First week I wanted same as you. Black with dark wood but now are my feelings closer to some llighter leatehr /venetian/merino with light wood or wallnut... How your wood look in real? Do you regret not choosing light?

My 1st 535 was with M suspension only which was nice, I think you will be happy with ACS springs but show me picture of front bumper after 1 week, it is not JEEP I will go for R20 wheels but without runflats

I will recommed ACS 535d tune box which really works. We tested differencein speed on same road and distance: changed from 215kmh to 233 after installing box. Car push much better compare other tuned diesels push alot after 3000rpm. 5*.

For memebers who dont have chance to drive diesel in their country:I will describe how 535d after tune runs on our test road which is aprox 600m
535d without tune 215, after ACS 233kmh
my Z4 35IS (340hp/450Nm) 238kmh
750i/550i 240kmh
Main difference is weight of car 535D/550i where 550i is elephant and consupntion is double to 535d. Stock 535d is better than 550i 1000-4500rpm, it has also 600Nm...

Main reason why Im not sure how create/how much spent ino 535d is that Im very sure I want M5. Last week my friend bought X6m, I drove few mins and power is not 30%+ than 550i but double or triple! It was in heavy X6m (which on the same test track 600m beated E60 M5 after tune to 550hp!)

Little bit but I think we are all the same and some members will like to know ...

it's slightly less dark then on these pictures and a tiny bit more brownish. i don't regret it at all. it's just the way i wanted it. black panels would have been too black and indifferent to the rest of the interior, and lighter ones would be demanding too much attention of the eye. these fit perfectly in the dark interior. personally i like the dark interior as the focus is on what you can see out of the windows: the nice roads ahead

yes.. contemplating something like this, although i would prefer a mapping, which AFAIK cannot be done on the F10/F11 yet.
on the other hand, i'm still in the running in period and only run in comfort mode (doesn't go about 2500rpm i think) and already this suits me fine. maybe i went a bit overkill on the engine. still.. looking forward to the end of the running in period

I saw picture of wallnut wood with light leater http://www.bmwblog.com/wp-content/up...dividual-2.JPG but I dont want too loose a lot when buying M5

Dont care much for run in, if they dont want you to drive it 100% they will block it.
ACS have 2yrs waranty for they box tune, which you can anytime take out...
Only problem is 2400EUR+tax
