Black 2011 5-series spotted on Munich roads (12/27/09)
Since the official debut of the F10 5-series to the press, not many F10s have been spotted on public roads. Only two have been reported -- a titanium silver one on the autobahn and most recently this black F10 5-series in Munich. From bimmertoday

WOWW!!! It is good!!!
E60 does look really nice, but this F10 is just almost perfect for me. I actually didn't think that it is looks that good at the first sigh, but after that first sigh, IT IS JUST PERFECT!!! Can't wait to see it in person, and hopefully my dad will get one! However, couple of my friends think that this car doesn't look as nice as their car because of some reason. (E60) |

I can see why some E60 owners wouldn't like the new F10, at least for now until it grows on them. The E60 had a more striking design, that people either loved or hated. Those that loved it will continue to love it, and may not like the softer-designed F10. I have a few friends like that as well.

Really? Interesting to see BMW testing or driving these outside of Europe as well. I remember back in 06 before the M6 cabrio was released (it was announced and pics released though) I saw a alpine white M6 cabrio in Iran. It didn't have badges covered though, so most likely someone had somehow bought it.

Have an e60, 535ix, and a 545i SMG before that. The F10 is far superior in the looks department in my view. In fact, never really cared for the e60 looks wise. Much preferred the e39 also.
And before I get the obvious then why did you buy it question, becasue it drives better than anything in its class and it was available via a great lease program. I also think there are plenty of e60 owners who feel the same way. |

Hated e60 when it first came out. slowly tried to convince myself it looks not too bad, and finally came to liking its front (still hate the back).
I was wishing the new f10 would look different from the e60 and i was so pleased to see it unveiled. it is exactly the type of design i was looking. makes e60 look so outdated when compared side by side. only gripe on the f10 is the 2 lines in the middle of the bonnet. but i guess i will reserve my judgement on this when i actually see the car. the gt looks way nicer in reality than the pictures suggest, especially in certain colours. obviously bmw cant satisfy everyone and there will be people with different opinions. the real success/failure indicator will be when they announce the number of f10 (or f07) cars sold. |

Looks like a bigger retouched 3-series. I always felt the 3-series was the gold standard of beautiful timeless BMW design, and I think I may have been right.
