So got 4 more hours in. I hit the driver's side rear quarter panel, rear bumper, trunk and 3d carbon spoiler, passenger rear quarter panel and passenger front fender.

I see you're doing the car piece meal.

Doesn't it get dusty in between? How are you dealing with that?

Anyway, I have a fresh clay bar at home but I've also been reading about nanoskin pads that you use with the DA polisher and supposed to work just as good if not better because it's way faster. We'll see. Good luck car looks amazing so far
Claybar will remove alot of that crap, when its that bad you can either use a lot of quick detail spray, What i've done in the past also is washed the entire car properly

then soap up the car again (foam cannon makes quick work of this) and then clay using the soap as a lubricant. its takes a bit longer, but for me i find it easier than using the quick detailer.

At first I was skeptical because how can you wipe of dirt without getting scratches? But for some reason this waterless system you can! So I'll have to try it and report back. Anyone already trying this...please chime in with your experience or if you don't think this will work also please chime in
i've used the optimum NO RINSE waterless wash, and it works well! specially if the car isn't too dirty its perfect for that. i rinse the wash mitt each time and then dip it back into the ONR bucket. It also works great as a quick detailer!

Just a little bit. If your getting a lot of dust your pad needs to be cleaned

The EcoSmart does have carnuba wax so all I have to do is buff after the initial wipe down. I'll have to check out CG's NO RINSE

My phone has a hard time picking up the scratches and swirls. I did post one at the beginning. I'll see if I can take some tomorrow.

After the compound correction my next step will be using CG's V36 with the White Hexlogic pad to Polish whatever marring or haze the V34 left behind and bring out that deep gloss look. Than hit it with the V38 with Black Hexlogic pad what I'm learning is called "the Jeweler's Polish"

Great work! Quick question, how many coats of wax/sealant do you use?

Thanks!

1 coat sealant (KetSeal) last up to 1 year
1 coat wax (ButterWet Wax) last for 3 months

OK fellows! Another 4 more hours put in! I finished V34 on passenger front/rear door, roof and pillars. Now I'm on step 2 which is POLISHING using V36 with White Hexlogic pad. I started with passenger side front fender, passenger front/rear doors, trunk and rear bumper. I know from the pictures they look like the same thing from the first pictures but in person it's starting to look wet , glossy and shiney! And that not even the final paint corrections. The Orange Hexlogic pad is done. Its pretty much falling apart so hopefully I won't need another one in the future

I have not used a finishing Polish yet. The V38 would be my finishing Polish (The Jeweler's Polish) and that will be used with the White Hexlogic pad as my 3rd and final step for the 3 step paint correction. I couldn't imagine it either at first but man it's like how much shinier can it get and when you see it you'll be amazed! Its hard to capture how much cleaner, shinier, glossy and wet look through a lens than using your own eyes

Hey Guys! So my stuff came in! CG's EcoSmart Waterless Car Wash, Bug and Tar Remover, Professional Spray Bottles, funnel and more FREE Pad Applicators! What's cool is the EcoSmart can be diluted to 16 Gallons I did get an email regarding which products of their's can be diluted...pretty much any of their cleaners, degreasers, leather cleaner, window cleaners and car wash soaps. They did say not to dilute any polishes, waxes, detailers and paste waxes.

I will order their Hyper Flex Water Sanding Block & Restoration Kit for my Titan and Corolla as the headlight are very dull and hazy. I'm still searching for what I can do on the BMW headlights to make them new without wet sanding them? Probably the V38 with a finishing pad?

If you have light swirls go with the all in one VSS Scratch and Swirl Remover instead

Not a problem! Yeah, if you're not planning to do the whole paint correction process using the VSS is probably the best way to go!

Dude, how many miles do you have on your car? Based on the lack of chips and pitting in your front bumper, it looks like you just drove it off the lot.

You've inspired me man! Just received half of the items I ordered from chemical guys. Will be interesting when I do my write up as it's going to be using the same exact equipment/items but on an alpine white car.
