Car won't start
Had drivetrain malfunction took to dealer and they said was battery and replaced it. The error came up again and now the car won't start and is throwing codes p052b and p0343 any ideas what it could be? I just need to get the car to start so I can take to dealer as I am out of warranty.

They are telling me that my intake vanos had a bolt sheer off and failed. $2000 to replace they think i should replace the exhaust vanos for $600 and drop the oil pan to remove the bolt they think might have fallen in there for $2300. My question is my car falls under the 7/70000 California emissions warranty since Pennsylvania follows those standards they are saying the vanos is not part of that in the booklet I have it shows vanos adjustment unit being covered they are saying this is a different part is this information correct or are these the same parts?

Yeah, I have contacted bmwna through email and phone and have supporting documents to show this should be covered under California emissions warranty. Wish me luck.
