Actually, I *just* heard this from my CA. My BMW Center is an authorized Dinan dealer, and I pre-purchased the software. (Happy Christmas to me, yadda yadda.)

The software was supposed to be loaded during PDI, but I decided against it so I could break the car in and be able to do a before and after comparison.

In any event, heard from him the other day that BMW has changed the vehicle ECU on more recent builds, preventing Dinan tools from flashing it. He'll know more once he has my VIN, but at this point, I (and others) are SOL. I'll be refunded the money for the time being.

I'm not sure what has changed, but it's probably something simple as an updated encryption key or otherwise.

Perhaps someone with access to the ETK can take a look and see if the ECU PN changed recently?

Just found out that my car will be in production the second week in February. I'm told I should get a production number in the next 3 days. I have no idea what this means in terms of delivery to Montreal, and when I can expect to pick it up at the dealer. But it's a step in the right direction.

Add approx. 3 to 4 weeks to the production date = landing in Canada for delivery
