What did you do to your X3/X4 M today?

I finally got around to mounting the Maxton Design side skirt extensions...

They fit flush and blend in really well...almost a bit too subtle, but they should flow well with the Sterckenn front lip 😊

I'll post more details later on in my build thread...

They were in hand in about 2 weeks...essentially 6-10 business days. I was pretty impressed with that.... UK to California via Fedex.

Thanks! Yeah, it was genuinely impressed with the flushness and I've worked with a lot of aftermarket/performance parts for a longtime.

In regards to the carpet lights, they do cut off some of the beam that is closer to the base of the vehicle, but the fanning out of the "rays of light" still illuminate. I posted a pic of it in my build thread... direct link to post - https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=38

I love the X3M steering wheel and, for "focussed" driving, favor the 10-2 position but paddle shifters were a bit of a reach. Problem solved.

May I ask why you prefer 10-2 for focused driving?

I ask because, as I'm sure you know, 9-3 gives you the best control, is taught at every racing and performance driving course, is actually safe for control over the car, and is used by every race car driver.

IIRC, 10-2 was actually promoted heavily in the US by local governments so that cops could be able to see your hands while driving not because it is actually safer/more control.

Is it because your fingers reach the 10-2 from the 9-3 more easily so having a higher paddle is better?
