I'm so thankful that BMW has changed pads and eliminated the excessive brake dust which was terrible pre-f10 models. I use Sonax on my mother's Mercedes E-class and it works wonders. It gets rid of every spot of brake dust on the wheels --- amazing.

If you mean the Sonax Wheels Extreme, I agree, it's a cracking product, right up there with the best of them IMHO

That's the one, I couldn't remember if it was extreme or frill effect , but you're right - brilliant product. :

I'd like to recommend Optimum car wax and their other products.

http://www.optimumcarcare.com/owax.php?li=4

Extremely easy to apply (via spray bottle) and you don't have to worry about where you spray it (for example windows, rubber, etc). wipe on, wipe off. I have to say I am impressed with the product and it's made life easier for me. I've been using the product for many years and I don't intend to go to another product for general maintenance.

I'll leave the real detailing to a friend of mine who is a specialist.

Hands DOWN. The Carbon wax is my absolute favorite!

I have two kids as well...I opted for a protective sealant: A-Glaze. Just make sure the detailer (in my case the Dealer) gets rids of the paint swirls first before applying otherwise you're stuck with what's ever underneath for 5 years!

That aside, it's a great product and no need for wax or polish. Leaves a showroom finish with just a good shampoo and dry.

Have you guys tried Chemical Guys' "Butter Wet Wax"? I've used it… it's absolutely amazing and ridiculously easy to wipe off.
