Bavsound Stage 1 with Base Stereo, No External AMP

Hi,

See loads of great reviews about the Bav stage 1 upgrade. However most people are doing this to a system that already has an external AMP. I have an F10 with the base stereo, 6 speakers and no amp. Will this still make a significant upgrade to the system?

Also is there any scope in future to upgrade to having an amp?

Assume my speakers at the moment are wired direct to the head unit CIC?

Adding an amp with your factory speakers would be a significant upgrade to your audio

although Bav is a great "OEM" upgrade i still would go with Morel, Focal, Jehnert or Gladen and run the Bimmertech amp or some type of DSP with this. i've been all over the BMW forums on the web and i see about a 50/50 review on the Bav's from different people who purchased them from "it's definitely an improvement over stock!" to "just doesn't live up to the hype and all i paid for was the plug n play feature"

if you don't plan on using an external amp you should be fine. anything is better than the factory components anyways. but, if you install an amp you'll just make those speakers come alive!
