We are looking for the experienced DIYers who would like to have one of our products and to help us to write extensive installation instructions. If you are a proud owner of the BMW, passionate about BMWs and technology upgrades, not afraid to take apart your bimmer yourself and have a camera to take some photos during installation most likely we are looking for you! If you can even shoot a short clip to present the features of our products as well, you are definitely a person we want to talk to!

Why should I do it for them you will ask? Of course we don't expect you will do it for us for free. We will offer you a great deal and as all great deals we will discuss it individually with every candidate.

I'm interested but I'm not sure about the features of the front facing camera. Does it do recording like in a dash cam? Does it integrate with the existing surround view to make it act like 360 degree view?

I'm very interested. I've had numerous cars over the years that I have modified and was an avid Autocrosser (SCCA). I've now gone back to a BMW, had a 82 320i years ago, and now I'm looking to do some updating. I recently sold a Scion FR-S where I did a full suspension change and did a DIY with photos and write up. I've currently got a 2011 535i M Sport and I'm a little disappointed with the drop of the BMW connected drive features for Pre 2014 cars. I've already updated my Maps and my Phone and Media software. I've been reading up and was getting ready to start doing some coding and saw this request. Most of what I would like to do to my car is the behind the scene items that improve its use but don't look aftermarket. Please contact me if you think I can help.

Basically they want you to buy the unit for full price and then create a DIY install document with pictures and a video showing the features and then they will provide a 50% refund. If you create a full install video they will refund 100%.

50% off just doesn't seem like enough (for me) for the hours that go into creating a doc like this (I am a Manufacturing Engineer and do them for work so I know what a PITA it is to create a decent work instruction.) I also don't do video /editing which would require more time and effort for me. I am sure there are a few out there that have the skills and think this is enough payment for their time. I look forward to seeing some good DIY for these as I want to do a back up camera soon.

And they determine if your DIY/video is good enough...

same feeling too when i read the email they sent me. i'm better off buying it and calling it a day.
