Stock suspension and no rubbing.

The fronts are flush with a 255 tyre, but rears with a 295 tyre just protrude slightly. Pics to follow.
You can see the splashing / grit / road dirt sprayed on the rear wheel arch due to this protrusion.

But the 295 width gives more road contact and a better rim protection against 'kerbing'
Congrats on the Combo Hasser! Looks very good I'll post some pics once I get the diffuser back from paint.

Ok cool. Post the pics when you do. As I'm still undecided on paint or not.

after doing a few miles now on the new wheels/tyres, i have noticed some rubbing on the nearside rear under full load ie. 3 passengers in the back and boot full of stuff.

only when going over speed bumps, i hear a thump. then when i checked the tyre had evidence of touching the wheel arch.

looks like the 295 is a little too wide atm and doesnt sit within the wheel arch. and this is on stock suspension.

maybe need a little camber to resolve to tuck the tyre in?

do you know what your camber is set at right now? i'm running 295's as well and i'm not rubbing whatsoever sitting as low as i am. my settings are -2.4 and -2.6

No idea. I did take it to the garage to check alignment after I fitted the wheels, and the guy had it on the machine and said all looked good and no need to run full alignment check.
