New Owner Querstions

Got my car last week. I have a couple of questions I hope you all can assist me with.

1. Automatic rain sensing. Do you have to activate it every time? I find I do.

2 Anyone with the extended display cluster? l see from some of the pics on this board navigation displayed on the cluster, I don't get this on mine. I also don't get the clock and temp shown in the centre of the panel. http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=579058 Please scroll down to post 19 to see example.
I have all the options ticked on the Info Display option list.

Thanks.

Yes you have to activate the rain sensor each time - this is to stop the wipers working in a carwash or trying to start when they're frozen to the windscreen.

You should have the navigation displayed on the dashboard whetrher you have the extended display or not, as long as you have professional media and not business.

Thanks for the response. I do have prof media, no nav displayed on the dash though. I wonder why that would be?

Hi, If you repeatedly press the "BC" button on the end of the indicator stalk, you will scroll through the different screens on the centre instrument cluster read out.

Regards,
Matthew

if you have the route set then you get the turn indications/junctions/roundabouts but not a map as per main screen.

Thanks for the replies. Pressing the indicator stalk gives me the miles remaining, mpg etc nothing regarding directions in the centre of the cluster though.
Maybe the panel is faulty?

Do you get music selections displayed? As mentioned above, you obviously only get navigation instructions if you are actively following a route...

Found the answer. I do get the cluster display with the HUD disabled. Makes sense really but wasn't obvious.
Thanks for the suggestions.
