Is there some order to follow to get the lock button in trunk to lock all doors
Not sure what I am doing wrong. SOmetimes when I hit the lock button in my trunk before I hot the auto close button the car will lock. Other times it will not. Does it matter how trunk is opened? Via remote? inside via button near hood release or lever under trunk lid?

I just press the trunk lock&close button on the trunk lid (I have both a close button and a lock&close button, and the latter is to the right of the former) and it closes the lid and locks the entire car.

That's because the remote is not close enough when you press the lock button and nothing happens. To test: hold it in your hand when pressing the lock button. If it solves the problem of not locking/ the button not working intermittently then you'll know that's the problem. If it goes on, let us know. |

OP: To answer your other main question it doesn't matter how you OPEN the trunk, i.e. remote, trunk button, inside button, foot under bumper.
Although you should be able to open the trunk with remote or inside button or foot even if the entire car is already locked.

Who would have ever thunk the lock button (an integrated button of the car) requires a ping from the transponder fob. |
