Cut off your mufflers...

...if you want to piss off the world.

Just wanted to put in my 02 cents on anyone thinking about it. If you live in a nice community I'd expect a letter from your HOA doing this.

I'm catless and sure that adds a bit to it but its quite loud and really not a controlled/good sounding note. The rumble at idle is fun but it lacks that refined sound under WOT.

My M5 exhaust is coming and I wanted to install my M5 diffuser so I got out the saw and did some quick hacking just to see what it's all about. Really looking forward to that M5 note and deleting my resonators.

I literally knocked em off today around noon and have driven the car around the block a few times. It's a little nuts.

Took a few vids but youtube is stuck on "processing" for some reason... ?

I fired mine up in the bay when I was doing my resonator delete (dumped right after the cats), I thought it sounded like a boat and hated it!

The removal of the primary cats is what is causing the horrendous tone. However the sound would match if the car was a mustang.

Muffler delete on the F10 doesn't sound like that at all. Not that I'm trying to defend it or nothing, this just isn't a good comparison.

I'm chalking it up to the fact the exhaust isn't porting out the rear of the bumper and sound is resonating off the heat shields and cavernous holes where the mufflers once were not because it's catless. There's a couple videos from a guy with catless and resonators deleted that sounds decent however I've yet to find another person who's made a clip of the car driving WOT. Either way it's way too loud and M5 mufflers are being installed hopefully Monday. This was just for fun until they showed up.

I just felt it lacked the refined tone of a good quality exhaust system when people do the muffler deletes (on any car for that matter). If the goal is just to be loud and show you have a V8, then mission accomplished... however from a seasoned exhaust fabricator, Im quite picky on how my stuff sounds and most cars I own I will change it 4-5 times minimum before im content with the sound.
