carbon fiber slip on tips (installed 1)

so as you guys already know i have completed removing the black paint from the Meisterschaft exhaust and now deciding on what to do with the tips as i don't want them chrome! i thought about painting them matte black but because of the carbon fiber diffuser i have i thought about finding some carbon fiber slide on tips...and i found some! they come in 2 styles straight cut or angled...angled would be the way i would go but i think it'll look pretty SWEET! i will pull it back just a bit to expose a bit of the chrome tip. i'm trying to make my car look different than everyone else so i'm trying to go out of the norm!

this is kinda the look i thought about going for:

what do you guys think?

How much are they? They don't look so bad. Just see if you can find any reviews on the quality of them (esp. heat resistance)

Hmmm .... I dunno and I'm kinda sitting on the fence. Is it too much carbon fibre down there? Are the weaves going to match? And what are they going to look like after a bit of fast drivin and do they clean up? I guess they aren't that expensive to replace if you need to.

I think that I am thinking the same. I like the way that the tips will look mounted on top of the existing ones. What about a gloss black tip to match the jet black of your car?

Like I said...it's still in the air? Too much carbon? Too chromey? Matte black vs gloss black?

So here's 1 installed to show what it would look like:

I'll still be awhile before I get the exhaust on because I'm still in the process of getting the bumper, side skirt and roof spoiler to the shop to get painted. But like with everything else I got a family to support and bills to pay but eventually it'll get done!

This won't work buddy if you have 3" tips. This is a slip on tip(cover) that goes over the existing tip. From what I've see the eBay seller only carries 3.5" & 4" tips

Looks like you're going to have to sand down the ends to get the slash cut to match up with the existing tips and look like it belongs. Its going to be pretty hard to do that without splintering the weave a little.

Mask off the outside with painter tape and use aerosol high temp paint. Should soak into the fibers and hold them together well enough.

That's what I would do anyway.
