My 550i X-drive completed production and is on a ship heading to Port Hueneme.

I contacted my CA and asked if they can swap out the rear wheels for staggered setup. In other words, instead of 245/40/19s all around, the setup would be 245/40/19 (19x8.5) fronts and 275/35/19 (19x9) rears. He said they can do this once the car reaches Port Hueneme.

I've read discussions on staggered vs. non-staggered on 550i X-drive models. With this current setup, the overall diameter difference is 0.5% (which should be okay).

Question:
1. Any one out there have run a staggered setup on the x-drive models and have issues with AWD system?

2. Should I just go for 275/35/19 (19x9) for both front and back wheels, to avoid any potential issues with AWD system?

The ship should arrive at Port Hueneme on August 25.
