As a side note. I need to see more pics of your garage setup. Looks like you have a sweet setup!

Keep us posted on the retrofit. I just installed my m-sport wheel, but have been considering the switch. Really want to know if there is wiring required.

May I ask what you did for the coding? Bimmercode? Another program?

Yes, I did the coding in Bimmercode. It literally took less than 3 minutes and didn't even require expert mode.

I just posted this video of the install, but did not include the coding because it was so easy. Spoiler alert, I didn't realize the airbag on the M-Sport wheel was a different size. Lol!

Nice work! Now time for the sport shifter! As for the cluster, just keep it and have it programmed to the car. There is a guy on the forums who has done it many times.

just finished installing the steering wheel and the switch. coding done using bimmercode in the trans and steering column modules and works perfectly.

As for the switch, for now it is cosmetic as the sport switch does have more wires (currently only traction button functions) so I'm sure there is other things involved which I will be researching. Have to check where that wiring goes. Possibly have to check out the actual shifter assembly as well.

Thanks for the update. That's good info to know. I will check into the wiring needed as well.
