Is it bad for my car?

I did the MHD tune over the weekend, was easy and the car feels much stronger and smoother.
I did select the burble on the aggressive setting in sport mode.
I can't help but think it's bad for my car, what do you guys think?
I'm planning on turning it off but was curious what everyone thinks.
Thanks

I would imagine it would be bad for the cats in the long run. A setting of OEM or soft would not really have an affect IMHO. I love the MHD Burble also but I keep it on soft.

Cat + aggressive burble = bad. The burble is essentially combustion occurring in the exhaust system rather than the cylinders. Catalyst matrix is fragile. Sooner or later it'll fracture.

thank you for the input, I will be eliminating it tonight.
I've been driving in comfort mode where there isn't a burble.

cheers

Just go catless and don't worry about it.

All a burble tune does is inject fuel after the throttle closes, unburnt fuel hits the hot exhaust and pop pop pop. Other than "ruining" how effective the cat is, which would be completely unnoticable, you're really not hurting anything IMO.

I'm not a big fan of loud burbles, so I have the aggressiveness set to 0 and the period between 0.4 and 0.2 seconds depending on whether I'm on sport mode or not.

While I'm not a huge fan of pops and bangs, and it sounds like they could be 'bad' for the cats or the exhaust, I doubt it. The reason being my other car, a 2013 Boxster. THe sport and sport plus modes have insane levels of pops and bangs. I like those modes for a few other things (like steering weight and coolant temperature) but cannot take the bangs that are there STOCK. I would pay money to erase/reduce them. That said, I think it points towards not being too harmful, why would a responsible OEM like Porsche program it in?
