Dealer programming
(Not sure this is the right place, but still...)
Had my battery replaced today and apparently my car was flashed (the SA omitted to mention this). Though I lost lots of settings, I prefer it this way of course, but a few questions: 1. When do dealers update the software - is it usual during regular maintenance, is it when they find a problem or is it when there are critical bulletins (TSAs I think they're called? 2. Do they flash all ECUs or specific ones? 3. Do they flash to the latest ISTA/P versions available? Cheers |

I recently had my 2012 f10 serviced and mine did not have its software upgraded. As I have had a couple of settings 'coded' with different values , I was glad that had not happened. I' m sure there is criteria to state when it is upgraded such as issues reported as one example.
