Call Transfer to Handset (iPhone)

Is there a way to transfer a handsfree call in progress to the handset? On our 2014 Odyssey, there is a menu selection on the car's display. Not so in my 2013 F10. Thanks

Hmm... I haven't seen an option for it, either. In my experience with BMW's bluetooth, it's either on or off but not somewhere in between. When the phone is connected to the car, all phone operations will go through the car (dialing, answering, etc). When it's not, it won't (obviously). But I haven't seen any way to do both or warm transfer in-progress calls.

If the call is in progress on the car, and you wanted it on the handset, I assume you could just disable bluetooth on your phone? It should keep the call active but just break the connection to the car. I suppose you could do the same from the car, too, essentially disabling bluetooth to allow the call to revert to just the handset. I've done this (from the handset) on my 335 in the past, and it works fine. I haven't done it to date with the 550... honestly I really have only found the need very infrequently.

Hadn't thought about disabling Bluetooth in the car or phone to transfer the call. If I can program one of the car's presets to do it that would be quickest, but disabling it on the iPhone is pretty simple with iOS 7 too.

Thanks.

are you referring to changing a in progress call from bluetooth back to your iphone? don't you just tap "iphone" on the call screen on your phone??

My iPhone gives me the option, while in a call, to move it to the BMW, IPhone or Speaker.

Same here. While the call is active, you can tap on Audio Source and it'll display the options of BMW vehicle, iPhone or Speaker Phone. Simply choose iPhone to conduct your call solely on the handset. By the way, if your vehicle radio was playing prior to you receiving/making the call, it will resume.

Thanks, I'll check. I know if my iPhone is connected to Bluetooth and I initiate a call from the handset it will give me the three options, I wasn't aware that if I touch the screen while the hands free call is in progress it will bring up those options again.

Yes, and works perfectly, taking you from BM to phone

Thanks all. I just looked more carefully at the icons on my iPhone with a call in progress. the transfer is made on the iPhone, not on the car's screen like in our 2014 Odyssey. Mystery (for me) solved.
