I've had the JB4 S2 for about 4 days now and have to say that I am happy with the power. Throttle response is much better and the car is feels more alive. Definitely worth the purchase. Thanks Chase.

Has anyone experienced where the car would accelerate where it feels like its surging, cutting back, surging , cutting back power? Felt this once pulling out of the gas station with maybe 60% throttle and the car would feel like the boost is oscillating (going up and down) for a few seconds and then back to normal.

Yes, I have, when you kick in too much throttle then back off it feels as if boost is still up and the engine wants to go but the reduced throttle (less fuel) caught it off guard. Different feeling. I wait the second or two for it to subside then introduce more throttle. Has anybody throttled-up through the oscillation?

I've had the same issue. And sometimes I'll be accelerating normally and the gas cuts out then comes back in and it's jerky.

Granted the power gain with this tune is awesome for the 535 i still can't wait to jump over to a legit flash tune on this car. Too bad it is going to be a LONG time before that happens or it might never happen.

JB4 is basically your Casio watch. It works but its far from being the best.

Slightly off topic but I removed my JB3 today as it was going into the autobody shop for a few days and then next Monday going to the dealer to have the global update. I was afraid I wouldn't have time to remove it next weekend. Boy, you sure do forget how different it is without the JB3 (let alone the JB4). The hesitation was immediately back and that loss of kick is really, really noticeable. 10 minutes after I get it back next week I'll have it back in.

^^ It was the same when i took off my tune on my 335. With the N55/54 tune and no tune feels like a completely different beast.

I finally installed my Stage 2 over the weekend. All I can say is this: if you have any doubts, ignore them and just do it. Installation is a breeze and the increased power/torque/loss of hesitation/etc is worth every penny. EVERY PENNY!

The car feels so much more powerful now in "Normal" mode that I rarely, if ever put my car into Sport anymore.

Just do it.

And for all the people complaining about Terry not caring about us F10 guys, my experience has been 180 degrees the opposite. His level of customer service is beyond reproach!

L H,

What is the build date of your car?

The reason I ask is because there's another tread that says that on early 2011 build the connector of which CAN wires tap for the stage 2 is not accessible and I noticed that you own a 2011.

I'm getting 32.6mpg running at 62mph average with JB3 (7.2l/100km @ 100kph).

Harness B. Check to make sure you have CANbus wiring on your car before you order Stage 2 .

Hey there.

July 2011 Build Date. CAN wires were exactly where Terry showed in the pictures.

Best of luck,

Eddie

I have a 2013 as well and it works. You need Harness B and specify its for a F10 when you order.

Just ordered mine. Hopefully it works well with the exhaust. I got the stage 2 and installing it on Saturday without the downpipe. Want to get before and after dyno without it first then with the downpipe and exhaust on.
