i used the toyota ft-86 awarded in one of the earlier A-Spec races to whoop ass on the rally beginner. then i used the impreza awarded from completing the rally beginner to whoop dat ass in intermediate. Obviously I modified both cars to some degree.

Lovin this game.

I found a Peugot 205 16v in the used section before starting the rally series. A couple cheap mods got it right up to the 245 HP limit.

For the intermediate races having the 345hp limit, the car only had 305 hp and still whooped everyone

Also used the car for the French only series I love that there are so many ways you can go with this game.

The extreme races are the only ones that are driving me nuts....you gotta fork over a shit load of cash to buy those specific cars, and generally speaking you have no easy way to get that cash.

You can't buy a used car and sell it and make even a 1/10 of what you spent. Any of the 'nice' cars you win, you can't sell at all, or can't sell for shit.

The only way you end up being able to make all the cash you need is to play the same races over and over again.

Other than that I love it, right up to the extreme

gotta love the gains you get with a racing air filter, racing ecu, and exhaust cat removal for next to nothing in credits. I can usually win a race with only these 3 engine mods performed to a car. Just getting involved in expert - things are heating up.

True, the lack of cash has forced me to play B-spec

Anyone play the advanced Nascar special races? The last one must have taken me an hour of restarts to finish.

never take your foot of the gas and always stay behind one of the cars. The draft makes you faster than them.

Go in hot, let some of the guys hit you from the back and never take your foot off throttle or carve your own line, even if you are a long way off.

Gotta keep the driver's pace down towards the middle and have a bit more patience, and overtake on the straights.

The Special events or the actual series in the Extreme races? I'm curious if anyone has "won" a Nascar or if they had to buy one

Try a Mini. I won one and suped it up to just under 240 and added the suspension and smoked the rallies...

I finished the Loeb rally challenge (which was a lot of fun) before finishing the GT Rally Challenge, so I used the rally Citreon from the Loeb special event in the GT Rally Advanced Event. I tuned it up too, and that pretty much made it a cake walk. There were actually times I passed all 3 cars in front of me and finished before they could post any times. That car handled like a dream.

You win the Nascar when you finish the Special Event. I got a crap Camry, it does not seem as quick as the Chevrolet one.

I love this game even though I suck. It's just tragic that I can't keep a BMW M3 off the dirt for more than a few minutes.

Three tries to pass and I am never doing that stupid van race again. Such a gay race.

The final iA license test, the 2 lap race, was extremely annoying. Besides the fact that the Enzo out front is nearly impossible to catch, the stupid contact penalty was the worst part. Even if the AI cars turn into you, with you ahead of them, you will get DQ'd. On 3 separate attempts, I had that stupid white Lambo start sliding out of control when entering turn 1, and every time I had no where to go, I had to hit him, and that sent me into the wall, getting DQ'd. I think it took me about 8 or 9 attempts to just finish the race.
