JB4 Stage 2 Install

According to the installation guide we should leave the Solonoid and the MAF unconnected from the harness to the car (leaving the connections stock) and only install the TMAP and the MAP connection on the driverside of the aibox. But then right below the steps are pictures of all 4 connections connected. Please clear this up for me. Thanks

535 F10, X3, F30, and X5 Stage 1 models:
Installation is the same as above with the following differences:
1) You do not need to remove the cowl/HVAC assembly.
2) To access the MAP sensor, connector #2, you must loosen and pull up the airbox assembly a
few inches. Remove the rubber grommets holding wire bundles, loose the worm clamp, and
physically pull the airbox up off its rubber mounts high enough to reach the sensor below.
3) The Stage1 control box will be located under a plastic cover on the passenger side as shown.
4) ONLY connectors #1 and #2 are used. DO NOT connect solenoid & MAF connectors. Just
tuck them out of the way.

I installed my Stage 2 with all 4 connections and I don't have any problems. I think that the instructions you have is only for stage 1.

For the stage 2 just follow these instructions:

Terry updated the installation guide on 3/18/2013 and now it says that for the stage 1 you only need to connect the first two connectors.
Maybe is part of the new firmware

Yes I contacted Terry directly; all 4 connectors are installed for Stage II. He also shipped me over the clip from the boost solenoid connector that I pulled off and lost (Due to my own incompetence) free of charge. Nice dude.

question, do you take off your JB4 when you take your car in for warranty service?

I have a stage 2 jb4. Directions say to install all 3 connectors of wiring harness except the purple MAF connector? Installed it and don't feel like I've gained 60-80hp but engine runs fine. What could it be?
