Hi guys,
I know its an old thread, but its in the same topic so might as well. Will I have any issues if I run 255/40/20 & 295/35/20 set? Please advise. Thanks! |

no issues on mine......except slight rubbing on the rear with a fullload ie. 3 passengers in the back and load in the boot
I got a set of 20" vorsteiners. 9 at the front 10.5 at the rear and am running that set up on stock suspension.

255/40 and 295/35 are possible on F10 but the wheel offsets, are crucial, especially the front. Or else the front tires will rub.
This photo show 255/40-20 on 8.5x20" wheels with ET32, less than 1/10" clearance with the car on the lift and rubs with the weight on the wheels. The front offset needs to be around 25-27, lower and the tire will rub the fender liner and higher the tire will rub the steering knuckle. 295/35-20 rear will probably fit, but I wouldn't use wider wheels than 10" and offset close to 40 or maybe a few millimeters lower. Don't take decision only based on my advice, I use a square 255/40 setup not staggered with 295 rear tires. Also remember that these tires are about 5% taller than OEM sizes. |

my question about that tire size would be: wouldn't that affect the speedometer? that would be outside the typical 3% of oem diameter, isn't it?
I run the following sizes: front: 20x8.5 with 245/35/20, et 19 rear: 20x10.5 with 295/30/20, et 35 |

With OEM sizes the speedo show about 2 mph higher than actual speed at 60, with 255/40-20 the error will be less than 1 mph (on the lower side). |

a little off topic here but I need some education. I ordered a set of rims and obviously I took the advice of the "professional" but why 30 wall in the rear and 35 in the front? I haven't dropped my car yet but I kinda thought after I installed them that more rubber would have reduced the gap.
any reasoning behind this?? thanks front 245/35/20 rear 285/30/20 |

First number is section width in millimeters, the second number is side wall height in percent of section width.
I.e. 245 x 0.35 ~ 86 mm 285 x 0.30 ~ 86 mm |

Hi,
I am interesting for JR21 wheels. Which rims and tyre dimension (front and back) would you suggest for my BMW 5 F10 (non M version, 525d) ? It would be great if will fit 20x10 front and 20x11 rear https://jr-wheels.com//towar.4797.ja....5x120.hb.html Thank you. |

Any chance you can post a pic? Not the entire car... just wanted to see the clearance with your wheel/tires set up with the Dinan Springs, which I know are supposed to be a .5 inch drop. Looking to get 20’s as well. Thanks in advance.
