I've always wondered if they were ever "little".

They always make my 100 lb "little" girl seem small as I've only ever met semi-mature Wolfhound's. I was beginning to wonder if they were ever that small....lol.

I don't think they are ever little. They grow in front of your eyes..seriously. In five days he gained seven pounds. He is well over sixty pounds now. They way it looks he will be about 36" at the shoulder and weigh about 180#. He is already 28" at the shoulder but still skinny.luckily they are as about a sweet natured creature you could ask for. He is constantly around two toddlers and takes extra care around them. The only time he opens his mouth around them is to give them a lick. I thought that was amazing seeing as he is a baby himself.

Several Weims and Vizslas on here... I grew up with a Weim. Beautiful dogs but ours was the dumbest thing on 4 legs.

Haha, I know. I love Vizslas and Weims, but they're not the sharpest dogs. Beautiful Staff you have. We're looking for a dog now, and I seem to have given into my wife's desire for a labradoodle, crap.

On the opposite end of the intelligence scale from the Weims.. My boy Valyrian just came home 10 days ago at 10 weeks old.

We were told by our vet to expect 2.5 pounds of weight gain per week.., as of this morning he had gained 3.2

Week 11:

No we didn't. We had no choice, no reputable breeder will let them go without cropped ears. My wife pleaded to no avail and this was the case for the top 3 breeders in the NW.
