Subwoofer cuts out when turning up volume
Installed a Technic harness with a LC2i, Accubass is disabled, gains are set to the lowest position on the amp and LOC. No bass boost etc. but when i turn up the volume and the bass hits the new sub cuts out. I know the sub and amp work perfectly fine in my other vehicle. But when the volume gets past 1/4-3/8 the sub will cut as soon as there is a heavy bass hit. Anyone have similar issues?

off topic but DaHeadlightguy what are you running for components and are you running an amp for those?

"Sub cuts off"
Check if the Amp is going into 'Protect' mode. If yes, check if the sub is wired correctly and for the right load (ohm/resistance). You might have accidentally wired the sub for a lower load resistance than the amp is capable of handling (I am assuming it is a DVC sub). I hope this helps. |

Check all connections are tight (all speaker/ woofer/ amp power and ground). Sometimes, when the load increases and the connections are not tight enough (or have corrosion), the connection breaks when a huge load is drawn (volume increased). |
