CPO 2013 528 XI - Opinions
Hello,
I need some opinions from guys who owns 528 xi, i am in the market to buy current generation 5 series, currently i have 2009 335i Sedan, Stock and it is fast enough for me. reason for switching to 5 series is that i need some room and 3 series is little bit smaller inside. few questions 1. i know 528 xi would be slower, how would it perform with JB4? 2. Previous Gen E90s steering wheel was hydrolic and precise and i am not sure how this 5 series steering feel, is it tight or loose? 3. how fast it would be with JB4 and other mods, would it be close it my current 335i? I am looking at CPO 2013 528 xi with 60k miles on it, it has M-Sport Package which is must for me. w Please help me to decide. Thanks |

Depends on what you want to get out of the car. I think the 528 has just adequate power. Go enough to drive around the city and has ample space and good looks. If you want a bump in power then go with the 535. You will probably have to test drive it to see how you really like it.
I don't know the answer to the steering question. As for the last question, I don't think the jb4 528 will be as fast as a 335. |

I had the stage 1/jb4 n20 tune on my 528 and don't think it was as fast as the 335. I have the dinan tune now and would say it still isn't as fast as a 335. Although it is a lot better than stock of course, better responsiveness.
It's also for sale http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...94300718&Log=0 |

Probably you're not getting a lot of responses due to the holidays.
If you are use to a 335 and even remotely like the speed, the 528 even chipped won't do it. step up for small change to 535 xi at minimum and that car will be both slower and less precise than your current 3 but that is the cost of a bigger and newer car.
