Eibach springs not even???
Hi
My friend helped me lower my car in his shop. I bought the eibach 40mm for my bmw f10 525d. The issue is that it got very low in the front, not so much (or anything at all) in the back. I've emailed the shop i bought it from ebay and they're telling me that we've done something wrong, bought I really doubt that since he has lowered many cars with both coilovers and loweringsprings, why is mine the first one with problem? If anyone could help me it would be awesome since the cost of all this is just going up right now. Car info: BMW F10 525d with M sport package, year 2012. Can't put back the original springs since they were broken thats why i thought i should go loweringsprings.. |

Expect very few, if any, responses from Members in the USA. The USA Eibach kit has different specs. In fact, on some models (including mine), only front springs are avail.
However, I did look up the info for you at the European Eibach site. http://web2.carparts-cat.com/default...D279004&12=130 Appears that there are 4 kits for your application. All four kits, 30mm, front. Two kits with leveling control are 25mm, rear Two other kits (non-leveling) 30mm, rear. Also, note the load rating differences between the leveling and non-leveling. There should be numbers printed on the springs. Confirm with Eibach. Make sure the springs are seated correctly. As other Members have mentioned, make certain fronts and rears are installed in correct locations. How did you brake a spring??? In my lifetime, I have only seen one incident, and that was on a SAAB....it just snapped. ... Last edited by John H.; 03-23-2019 at 01:52 PM.. Reason: Added info. |

they're seated correctly, and double checked for right application. I bought the car from a dealership 1 month ago. when he put up the car on the lift it was full of dust on the stock spring, so he took a cloth and brushed on it it was a crack all through on the top :/ So have to purschase another set of lowering springs or buy stocks again.. |

Call Eibach with that part number to verify the application. The SAAB spring that snapped was OEM original. I have never seen an Eibach spring snap. Possibly, those installed springs are correct for your vehicle. If so, and unhappy about the drop, you should consider other options. |

Just to clearify, The 2 shorter springs are installed back, the longer ones in front.. I really don't think it should be the other side around, can someone just confirm lol :P

Just looked at my H&R's, The shorter ones go in the front and the longer ones go in the back. Pretty sure your's are backwards like others have stated.
