How to remove/cover Airbag warning?

I love the interior of my car except for the airbag warning on the visors which appears to be painted on.

Anyone have any experience removing them or getting covers which match the headliner to cover them up?

thanks, John

Your best chioce is to see if you can get "European" replacement visors through BMW parts. I did this on my old E39, after completly screwing up the vinyl when I tried to remove the stickers. I used goof-off that some had recomended at the time, and it did not go well at all.

If you do try to take them off....be very careful.

Not sure about whether or not you can get visors without the stickers anymore, Crevier would be a good dealer to contact...they will know.

I recall a thread a couple months ago, maybe another F10 forum. Person used high purity isopropyl alcohol with success to remove them.

Use rubbing alcohol. Take a couple of paper towels, fold them in half and soak them in alcohol. Lay over decal with some lite weight, I used some books. Wait 10-15 minutes and then remove. The decals will come right off. I did this using black anthracite headliner. I also removed the visors before I did it.

That will work fine.
You can use isopropyl alcohol or plain denaturated alcohol 90%.
There is a thread on one of the BMW forums somewhere around december.
It took me not more than 15 minutes.
