On a different thread, I spoke about the possibility of getting Cohiba Brown leather for a US F10 order. I saw pics for a 7 series and a 3 series with this beautiful interior. So I made an inquiry to see if I could get this. Unfortunately, the answer is no for US customers.

Today, I looked at the BMW UK site, and found that this color is available on the F10 as a "BMW Individual" option. Not fair at all...

I'd get Alpine White (which is what I'm planning to order anyway). It's just such a bummer that I can't get this leather.

Don't Canadians pay about the same for automobiles as Americans? Or is there some taxes (import and/or otherwise) that come into play?

Jerry I think it depends on how much you are willing to pay and if your dealer is willing to the leg work with BMWNA to add the interior code to your car. IF the color is available is usually can be done but is fairly costly ($5k or more).

That is unfortunate.

Wifey and I were dying for a dark brown leather interior for the 550ix but I didn't even think to ask my CA about extra cost. We did ask about other exterior colors and were told that for $5K BMW will paint your car (as long as it's made in Germany) any color that's normally offered. So it wasn't really Individual.

The problem I see with the OP's photo is how "cut up" the interior looks with the seats brown but everything else black. They really need to make all, or most, of the interior the same color (IMO, of course). The only cars we saw with dark brown interiors done this way were Porsche and, surprise, Lincoln.

I started the Mineral White Metallic thread, asking if it was worth the cost to get this color vs. Alpine White. My CA quoted me $5300, and a 2 week additional production time. I decided against it and will stick with AW when I order the car.

At first, I was drawn to Cinnamon Brown leather, but in every photo I've seen here, I'm not impressed. The only photo I am impressed with was the one on the BMWUSA website. My local dealer does not have this color in any car, so I looked for an alternative and came across Cohiba Brown as a potential alternative.

I did ask my CA to inquire one more time on this, but I suspect that if it is possible, it will be prohibitively expensive (like the Mineral White request).

That is definitely an awesome color.

It would look great with the Alpine or Mineral White exterior or the Deep Sea Blue.
