FS: Cold Air N63/N63tu Intakes
Took these off for the final time since my car has to go into service. Plus, I'm putting my car back to stock under the hood anyway due to CA visual inspection smog requirements and I'm due for smog in a couple months. So my N63intakes (badblack) are up for sale I had them on my car for 9 months. I highly recommend purchasing the coupler upgrade that replaces the flexipipes from N63intake for better efficiency. You could also have them powder coated since they're pretty scratched up from constant installing/removal. I'm in no rush to sell as I could easily put them back on after emissions testing. $600 takes them picked up here in San Diego or Orange County. Last edited by SLVSRFR; 04-28-2017 at 10:46 AM.. |

Don't want the hassle of reinstalling them?

I just realized there's only a true benefit at night or during the winter months. During the day here in sunny San Diego, the heat soak somewhat negates the benefit from the intakes. So I figured I could use the cash somewhere else.
But I'm not really in a rush to sell them, they're on my car now and I've taken them off/put them on so many times that I can probably do it in 15 minutes or less now. Plus I just got my BCM for my JB4 Beta and took it for a spin tonight and the car is a monster. So it makes me rethink getting rid of the intakes. Side note, do you have pics of the couplers that are upgraded? I contacted badblack to upgrade them but havent pushed the button yet. |

Any real noticeable gains or does the car produce anything audible? I've seen the youtube vids but my curiosity is from the driver's seat. This car is so muted, a little spool up with the windows/sunroof cracked would add to the driving experience.
Guessing the heat soak you're referring to is coming from the pipes that sit above the valve covers. This motor does generate an enormity of heat. |
