Tinting your F10

Hi Folks,
I am getting my 535 this Friday and wanted to timt it, but dont know what would be better choice. 20% all over or 30% all over. Maybe a mix of 30 in the front and 20 at the back. The cars color is black. I will also have rear doors and back window curtans.

30% all over with a good ceramic is going to give you good performance without the visibility issue or the man (mounty?) sweating you. What color is your interior?

I got 15% Forumula 1 pinnacle ceramics all around - clarity is very good at night time, both summer & winter months. (35% is way too light in the summer time).

I see you are from T.O. (so am I), I got it done at Auto links (Scarborough - Birchmount/Eglinton). Paid $320 + HST. Excellent job done with no bubbles at all.

As a retired police officer I can tell you nothing is worse than approaching a stopped vehicle with blacked out windows. You never know if someone is pointing a gun at you until its too late for you. I personally use a nice soft 50% tint that achieves the look and effective sun block while permitting vision inward. Just a thought in case you ever get a jittery officer with a gun pulled on you asking you to show your hands!

I ended up going with Llumar Tint. 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear window. The 20% on the rear is a good compromise, it blocks a lot of light for the back seat and does not look out of place like a mix of shades on the side windows would. Also light enough that I hope to avoid any issues with nervous police.

Can anyone confirm what the "stock" Sun Protection Glass tint is? Is it 35% on the sides and rears?
