HELP! CAn eBay EVC wiring FOR work Meisterschaft?

More like I got it used with no remotes or anything which is fine and the valves are set to be open all the time which is how I was gonna run it. looking at what looks like a motor or actuator is this controlled with voltage if im saying that right? I was wondering if there's a way for me to run some wires from those actuators to maybe a button or switch inside that can open and close the valves?

You would need to know what voltage and current are required to activate the actuator. I would think that there would be a need for a control module and not just wiring straight from a switch to he actuator. It could be easy enough to test with a battery before the installation.

I'll see what it sounds like when it's installed and go from there. From all the YouTube videos it sounds incredible but would be nice to have the ability to close the valves if I want to tone it down a bit.

Well that's the one off the Meisterschaft. I wanna replace it with a new one and was wondering if the eBay one's will work?

You definitely want to be able to close the valves. Cold starts are really loud with the valves open. I just can't do that to my neighbors during off hours.

That's what got me thinking lol! I'm looking at the Meisterschaft actuator or solenoid or whatever it's called and it does have 2 wires coming off of it...one red and one black. I should be able to hook up a switch inside with a fuse and be able to open and close wouldn't you think?

Im not sure what the genuine one uses, but the ones on ebay are just generic replacement motors for exhaust cutout kits.

Just stick to one that uses actual connections(stay away from bluetooth version, dont ask me how I know) if you find out that those will work with the exhaust you picked up.

Measure the diameter you need and go from there, SHOULD be pretty straightforward.

I measured it and the diameter is 2.5". Imma talk to my coworker who's an electrician and see if I could just use what I currently have and just splice into the red/black wire and run it into the cabin on a switch

If it's just an actuator a simple power and ground to a switch should work. I can't imagine why that cut-out wouldn't work.

As long as that's all that valve does.

That's all it does...opens and closes

My father was an A Grade Mechanic in his younger years and he taught me a lot about Motors but he knew diddly-squat about Auto Electrics. Having said that, I'd be mindful where you run your wires as it will depend how many amps those actuators need as they might cause issues with voltage irregularity if they draw too much and at the wrong time (particularly at ignition start-up). Just looking at them though, doesn't look like they would be more than 3-5 amps each but I'm certain some of the boys on this forum will have more idea. You might need to run a 15 Amp relay just to be on the safe side. Just a thought but why not reach out to the guys at Meister as they know their own product and I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving some free advice.

Very good point. Per QTP's actual PDF it's 1 amp draw, but google results seem to say def go at least 5 just in case.
