Appreciate everybody's input. I had to vent so I could get over this asap and I have so all its forgotten and forgiven. I'm surprised about some of the member's interpretation regarding the original post and how some members act like they never got angry in their life. It was never about the money. Its about having your spouse listen to your recommendations once in a while. Yes mistakes do happen but you should still be held accountable for it no matter who you are now she says she double and triple check the blind spot with mirrors and back up camera before she backs up anywhere so this minor accident may have prevented her from having a major one in the future that will cost her more than dealing with a pissed off husband for a couple of days.

Damn, I had to run out to the garage after seeing this and check that my Beast is still okay.

I can totally understand where you are coming from, if the same was to happen, although I love my wife dearly for 18 years ... I would be freaking pissed.

The good thing is it "looks" like its all in the door so its not like a quarter panel or something.

Ugh, hope it gets fixed, you will look back and laugh one day ... just not today.

You don't need to explain. This is the price you pay for being honest.

At least by opening up and discussing it here you got some different perspectives.

This does not mean you are a bad guy or you don't love your wife. It means you were pissed and you needed some hugs.

There, there, all better now!

No go on and play with your bimmer after you get your diaper changed.

Come on man, you're not the center of the universe -- stop whining and get over it. It's just a car door.

Forgive and forget. It happened to me too. Wife backed in to my X6. $6,000. Bent the unibody + damage to her car.

Could be worse. It could have been your mother-in-law in an Escalade, which is what happened to me.

Sometimes if you look at the brightside of dark things you can cope better with the stress and confliction of a event like this.

It appears that the damage is isolated to just the rear door. Is that accurate? 1. New door skin
2. find a good body shop with a top of the line spray booth.
3. All good.

Don't beat your wife up over something that's probably more important to you than her. You probably do things that elicit similar levels of outrage which don't seem like big deals to you.

Selective outrage is a funny human trait. Remember: it always depends whose Ox is getting gored!

What an hilarious thread. I'm still laughing about the fact you park your cars inside and leave her out on the driveway. As others have expressed, it's a f***ing car.

lol that was my first thought as well.. two car garage and his poor wife has to park outside... if it was florida or somewhere warm then it's understandable; but virginia! come on man, it gets cold there! your poor wife has to deal with ice on the windshield, freezing cold car, etc.. maybe shes letting you know she wants a garage space in her own way

Except that happened in the Summer. Have 3 cars. 2 BMW and one Toyota so the Toyota stays out. I haven't met a woman yet that takes care of her car.

It's all good now. The OP was posted when it just happened and I guess time heals everything.

One good thing out of this is now she double and triple checks with mirrors and back up camera before she backs up instead of assuming there's no one behind her.

Yeah, its clear you have let it go. Glad to see your training project has been a success.

Was she pissed at you for damaging her car when you pulled out right in front of her?

What a hoot.

Wow...

- Park the lady's car outside while 2 of yours are garaged. Justify the double-standard by minimizing her ride and "dissing" women as a category.
- "Punish" her by not repairing her car while contemplating REPLACING yours with a 650.

Seems like there are bigger issues here than her driving and your attachment to the F10. Good luck...
