Widest Rear w/ Lowest Offset Different for '11 vs '12?

So I've been soaking in a lot of excellent information from fellow enthusiasts recently; from the likes of LACSTER and remmib (just to name a couple).
The information I've been interested in pertain to wheel sizes & offsets that work best for our cars.

I'm just about ready to get my new set of rims, however, I'm wondering if I can get away with going with a wider/lower offset wheel than is standard. The wheel I'm eyeing now is the Rohana RC7.

In GetYourWheels.com's site, it shows that for my 2011 F10 I can do:
20x9 ET35 fronts
20x10 ET40 rears

However, I noticed that the 2012 F10 is permitted this setup:
20x9 ET35 fronts
20x11 ET28 rears

I'd much rather have the 2nd setup, since it would probably have a more concave look for the rears; besides...I want the rears to be as wide as possible.

May I get some input from you all as to the feasibility of this?
Has anyone done this?

Thanks in advance!

Those 20x11 ET28 might be meant for the F10 M5.
I've got 20x11 ET46 and those are pretty flush. I believe Lacster have some 21x11 with offsets in the 30s, but I'd say ET28 is too low.

remmib, you may very well be right about that.
I like how you're able to run 20x11's at the rears, very nice.

I guess you just answered my question from another post. I wanted to know if the K3 Projekt wheels would fit with these specs, but i guess not.
