Need Help With Wheel / Tire Fitment

Hey guys,

I understand these questions probably get real old and I should be better informed, but I don't want to risk buying a new setup and having issues. I'm trying to figure this stuff out, but wheels/tires always confuse the hell out of me

Anyways, I have a 16' 535d xdrive with msport. Currently riding on the stock 19x8.5 square setup. I'm looking to pick up some summer wheels and have a few here on the forum in mind. My concern is that they are all staggered (which I'd prefer for the nicer stance), and I'm not sure if the tire sizes are appropriate for xdrive (rolling diameter and all that confusing stuff). Heres and example of one setup, please let me know if this should be fine (I'm on stock suspension at the moment):

SIZE:

front: 20x9" +30 - 245/35/20 tires
rear: 20x10.5" +40 - 285/30/20 tires

Thanks for any input, much appreciated

Good fitment and tire size.

I have the same size wheels (except rears are 20x11) but similar offsets.

I went up to 255 up front and 295 in the back (michelin PSS) I'm also lowered on ACS springs (1" drop)

I have no issues with rubbing etc...even with 2-3 adults in the back...

I personally liked the look of the bigger tires as they seem to fill the wheel well better!

Great thanks! Just worried about messing up the xdrive given that it's a lease car. Don't think I'd be able to explain that one away

Thank you very much for the input, I'm definitely not opposed to some beefier tires. Just didn't want to spend a couple grand and end up ruining the xdrive

Here is a 285/30-20 on a 10.5" rim with a 40 offset.

And here is a 295/30 on the same wheel.

I like the look of the 295/30 better, but you will need to run a 255/35 up front to keep the diameters the same front and rear.

I ran 255/35-20 (20x9 +28 Offset) & 295/30-20 (20x10.5 +40 Offset) on my xdrive, with H&R sport springs and had no problems.

Thanks for the pictures and info, it's good to see how differnt sizes will look once I pull the trigger. Guess I need to make some tire size decisions. I'm eyeing a few sets of Vorsteiner rims which I think will go well with my car

I went with 275/30/20's up front and 305/25/20's on the rear but my rears slightly rub on the outer fender lip, nothing crazy thou, its not chewing up the tire or anything. I dont like the skinny 245 up front, the 275 looks more meaty and mean without looking too wide like a nascar race car. I can post pics if you want to see..

Waw ! this is amazing information.
Do you have more pics of the car and how the wheel is aligned?

I also prefer to take 255/295 instead of 245/285 but so maybe people say it's causing rubbing.
Did you try taking passengers in your car in the back ? like 3 people ?

I have a F11 550d and i'm having a hard time finding the rights wheels and offsets but from what i see on your post i think i found the solution.
So if i understand correctly, the following setup would be flushed staggered setup with no rubbing even when i lower the car with springs and take passengers?

FRONT: 255/35-20 (20x9 ET28)
REAR: 295/30-20 (20x10.5 ET40)

Let's go for it
