CEL Reccomendations
Hey Everyone,
I’ve got a BMW 535i 2013 that recently threw a check engine light around two weeks ago. I read the code (190302), and did some research in the forums and discovered that it is likely the NVLD pressure switch which is covered under a limited extended warranty. Here is the problem: Today while driving the car, the check engine light disappeared, but the code still shows as active instead of inactive, image below. This happened ~4 days and 100 miles after refilling the tank (yes, I previously checked the gas cap when the light came up 2 weeks ago). I am unsure whether to still take the car in or not, considering the 10 year timelimit for the extended warranty above is approaching in the next few months. Does anyone have any recommendations? Trying to avoid going to a dealership without an actual problem. Thank you. |

Take it in, hopefully addressed under the extended warranty for fuel system components. Actually helps that the code is active and not just stored. Could be as simple as needing a new gas cap!
